How Do We Solve A Problem Like Miranda Part Deux

Remember that crazy Latina who dared to run for office and was dissed by the democratic party who have claimed to want more minorities in government?   Well, she has discovered the hypocritical core of the democratic party and she ain't shutting up!!!!

Pissed off at the democratic party that talks out of both sides of their snout, she did this press release calling them out on what they "preach".  (go to the end of the post to see her full presser)

Here is the TU coverage: Miranda Dems Need To Support Minorities Upstate

As a person who is non white, I came to realize the democratic party (inner city ghettocrats) are nothing more than herders of the poor and minority pretty late in life.  I have asked in the past who is more racist democrats to republicans?

DEMOCRATS!  Why?

Because democrats claim to help us and don't.  Republicans simply ignore us.  If all you are going to give me is a way to abort more of my peeps, stay underemployed, crappy public housing, and shitty schools then just give me A 40 oz and a mule and leave me alone.

BTW, is there any correlation between the fast growth of the Hispanic population compared to African Americans and the fact that more African Americans undergo abortions than Hispanics   Hmm, nah, that can't be right.  Lets scratch that completely brilliant and logical hypothesis.

This isn't shocking for those unplugged from the matrix.

What I love is how she calls us "CHUMPS".  Yes, Malcolm X's famous Chumps tirade, here it is:

"The race is so close they have to go back and count the votes again"

Brotha was prophetic!

DEMOCRATS TO MINORITIES:  YOU ARE JUST POLITICAL CHUMPS

Black and Latinos: Modern Day Political Chumps
Electing Diversity vs. Controlling Diversity

Friday, December 7, 2012 (Duanesburg, NY) Former Democratic Senatorial candidate Mónica Arias Miranda, a Latina who has a been outspoken about the lack of diversity in state government and electorate body, has issued the following statement in response to the rhetoric coming from the Democrat party regarding the current Legislative leadership struggle:

Arias Miranda stated, “It is insulting to continue to see the race card being drawn again by the Democrat party, as it continues to dismiss minorities as potential candidates in races outside of New York City. The party that claims to work with us [minorities] to eliminate lack in diversity chooses to only talk about this issue when it is convenient for them, during election year and when minority count will yield a monetary outcomes.  As minorities we are reduced to data:  votes and statistics.

“The Black and Latino population continues to grow across NYS, yet, when the Democrat Party talks about lack of diversity in the legislature and leadership positions, they fail to  mention their lack of support for minority candidates.  Hispanics in NY account for 17.6% or 3.4 million from the 19.4 million total, a 19.2% increase since 2000 (from 2.9 million to 3.4 million).  The non-Latino population grew only slightly by 2.1% from 19.0 million to 19.4 million during the same time period.  Upstate NY saw substantial Latino population increase in the cities of Kingston, Albany, Schenectady, Amsterdam, Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse.  How many minority candidates has the Democrat Party supported in these areas? For example, the City of Amsterdam has a Latino population of approximately 30% yet the Democrats continue to fail to support a minority candidate in that City, you will not find a single Latino serving the constituents in that City.

“At the same time that Latinos are the fastest growing minority group in the state, the population continues to face barriers and discrimination in the areas of education, employment, health and housing as evidenced by poverty levels, low graduation rates, increase crime and dependency on social welfare programs, lack of affordable housing and representation in the workforce and legislature.  These barriers directly contribute to the population’s ability to effectively participate in the political process, elect candidates of our choice and even run for office. The Democrat party continues to use of the minority vote to maintain control, not to help these communities.

“Malcolm X said it best when he said that minorities are seen as political chumps where our votes are sought after yet we get very little in return.  That was back in the 60s but the argument is very applicable today as we continue to see an increase in poverty and high school drop rates and more rhetoric about how critical our vote is for progressive leadership.  What do we get in return?  More welfare, no jobs and a path to the criminal justice system for our youths.”

Anytime you throw your weight behind a political party that controls two-thirds of the government, and that Party can’t keep the promise that it made to you during election time, and you’re dumb enough to walk around continuing to identify yourself with that Party, you’re not only a chump, but you’re a traitor to your race. - Malcolm X

“Across New York State we [Blacks and Latinos] are told we are not allowed to run for office by the Party that claims diversity is lacking in the Legislative body.  We cannot continue to be allowed to be treated as political chumps by a political party that has shown us no Return on Our Investment.”

Mónica Arias Miranda has been a strong Democratic supporter serving as 2008 Delegate-at-Large for Barack Obama and Treasurer/Organizer for the Albany for Obama Campaign. She helped raise over $100,000 and register 2,000+ new Democratic voters.  She was a strong ally for local municipalities in ensuring Latinos participated in the 2010 Census.  Mónica Arias Miranda is the Founder, President and CEO of The Hispanic Coalition NY, Inc. a statewide organization with a current network of over 7,000 people.
