Somos El Futuro - Nathan Lebron, My Man Crush

So, I went against my own better judgement, to three events at Somos. Normally, it makes me want to kill myself when I hear so called legislators complain about everything in order to empower people. But, the women are hot and so I went.

Got in late to a special 40 under 40 celebration where my boy Nathan Lebron was to speak. How did I know he was going to speak, cause I heard he was. The program mentioned nothing about him speaking. I suppose because he was a republican....

For those who have never gone to Somos, republicans and dogs need not show up.

The room at the Crowne was packed. I got my sweets (the dessert table was nice!!!!) and there he was, about to speak.

He was the fu%*&*( MAN!!!!!

People clapped, people cheered a republican. Makes me wanna register as one. The media of course was not there and I didn't see cameras recording the thing. But I did see a woman up front with a camera. And she did record the whole thing!!!!!

A Tale of Two Legislative Districts

I live in the 7th legislative district. Legisloser Scavo is my representative. He is facing a challenge by Noelle Kinsch who, aside from being seemingly too fucking smart for such a waste of time position, is proving to be a cronie. She organized a fundaiser where she invited prominent leaders from all the different juntas of the democratic party. That includes the Breslin Pups, The Tanfather among the many.

The Alligator Man also lives in my district and has hit up my crib for signatures and campaign lit. If you have not seen a poster of his, picture a five year old collage of police reports (not kidding), picture of a bulldog (also not kidding), and an obsession with some doctor in Albany Med. Not to mention his poor writing skills, (thanks to union public schools), and brilliant use of a copier machine. He likes alligators, cool with me, passing lit around with a bulldog is just stupid.

The 7LD can chose among a creep, a cronie, and wierdo. I am truly blessed.

The first LD is being left vacant by Infante, well liked sheriff. He is 92 years old and for some reason no one has ever challenged him. He began his legislative career when Mother Earth's cafe was still around. That's 17 years.

I can't find a single accomplishment for Infante while legislator. Not one example of him being outspoken about anything. Just a quiet go along vote for the piece of crap legislature we have.

On his way out he did endorse a Maureen O'Brien character to continue to carry the torch of nothingness and inaction.

Why I picked these districts?

• Because I live in one and near the other.
• Because they have two legislators who are party cronies.
• Because they will continue to be represented by party cronies.
• Because neither legislator should have been in office (the dem party stealing an election to put Scavo in office and dems working a deal with the GOP to make sure the sheriff never has a challenger)
• Because the districts should not even exist.

This election year will see no change and we will continue to vote for this disaster of a legislative body. All good though, we will be shcoked when nothing happens.

Been A While and Van Riper

It is hard to keep a blog when you work full time. Only liberals on public dollarz have the time to keep a blog. Or conservatives who use work time to do the same. A progressive would get a job using public money and do it on work time.

Which brings me to this guy: Van Riper

He has a problem with people of color having their own opinions. He also has a HUGE problem with MLK being a republican. Makes sense, he was black and he should have known better than to step out of the plantation, in Van Riper's eyes. http://www.albanyweblog.com/index.php

Van Riper even went as far as admitting in one post that MLK was a republican AND that republicans are "white racist bigots". Why don't you come to the hood and talk that noise? Not your style, punk ass!

Van Riper is an amateur neo-racist. Today's racists are more passive. The days of burning crosses is out because, well, it not green to do so anymore. Wearing bed sheets is out because they are manufactured by big corporations using third world labor. And riding horses is no good, animal rights and all.

Today's racists come into our hoods and act like they care. Until the shit hits the fan, then they jump into an ignored bathouse to clean themselves up. Or leave the state, like those a-holes in Wisconsin. Stay and fight!

They never want us color folks leaving the hood or getting an education. In the 70's in Brooklyn we used to call them "teachers". Now they are community organizers (I'm excluding Obama), they believe in environmental justice, and write blogs about how blacks should know better than to think for themselves.

I am not going to make a habit out of dissin' blogs. God knows I like and read a lot of them. Nor am I going to make it a habit of posting in my own on a regular basis.

Van Riper, if we were ever to protest the way they did in Egypt, you would be who we are coming for, not any republicans in the city. Wait, the only republican we had left. I guess its all you.

I want Paladino to win just to see the look on the faces of those idiots who got jobs with no qualifications. Dressed up in suits like they are real executives.
