Karlin Found Guilty of Tax Fraud

Funny thing about the IRS and taxes, just like a divorced wife, they want their money!  So when you fail to file tax forms, the official invoice of the IRS, you can only imagine how pissed they are going to be.  Now imagine missing 6 invoices.

So the US Court of Appeals Third Circuit sent their hitmen after Jack Karlin back in 1986 for failing to pay taxes.  Here is the decision

Why would I post about this?  If you read the TU then the title probably grabbed your attention.  You probably though I was referring to Rick Karlin, writer for the Times Union.  Well, I was just trying to a make point.  If the power of suggestion is as powerful as many think it is, then "Karlin" and "Tax Fraud" will stick in your head and you won't vote for Pete Lopez for Assembly in the 102nd district.

See, the TU is the paper of record in this area, the NY Times is the paper of record in NYC.  When I read that Lopez was in trouble I instantly thought of Pete not Vito.

Maybe exactly the suggestive intent the TU wanted.

I was going to write a lengthy post about Citizen Action and all the wonderful work they do.  Like backing a local "community organizer" over a long time progressive.  But I thought perhaps a few texts could explain it better:

Paladino vs Dunce

"republican" operative and head of the Albany county GOP starts some shit with Paladinosaur, the disaster of a gubernatorial candidate.  Apparently, Dunce is trying to get in the GOPs good graces by defending the establishment's honor.  Carl is trying to challenge the establishment by exposing it in the only way he knows how, the art of bully diplomacy.

I am so happy this is happening because not only are these two DISASTERS, but they both have worked together.  See last year Paladino's sweety pie Deb Busch helped Dunce Clarey keep the ballot clear of any GOP opposition.  Both Dunce and Carl are gonna have to deal with that shit.

Same shit in Niagara, Erie, and Cattaraugus counties.   Albany and the nurse are not the only ones.

So, I took the liberty of emailing my boy Lebron to get his take.  Lebron was the one Clarey prevented from running against McCoy for county executive.  He pretty much took the high ground.  I suspect because he is working on someone's campaign and doesn't want to ruffle any patronage feathers.  But he did recommend a great scene from a great movie, Glengarry Glen Ross.  Not the one every body knows, but another one.  He wrote "lets just say I am Alpacino".

I told you on a previous post that Cecilia Tkaczyk, who I so lovingly call CopyTkaczyk, has no ideas of her own and just goes around lifting anything her opponents are doing.  And you probably thought I was smoking cheap weed again and didn't know what I was talking about.  Then I proved it to you by showing you a press release debacle where one of her challengers, Monica Arias Miranda, beat her on an issue but Cici's willing accomplices in the TU covered for CopyTkaczyk.

Yes, the Xerox candidate is lifting another idea from another opponent, this time is Tom Dolan.  Dolan who was unanimously endorsed by the Albany County Democrats decided to create an independent line to oppose fracking.  I think the party is called the No Fracking Party.  Cool.

Now CopyTkaczyk is creating a Save Our Schools party line to appear on the november ballot regardless of what happens on primary day.  All courtesy of the Troy Democratic Party ...........errrrrrr......... The Working Families Party.  Yes, I have friends who are WFP and think the parties endorsement of CopyTkaczyk is a farce.

People, democrats specially, please pretty please pay attention.  Not only is she a terrible candidate but she's apparently for sale to NYC.

Busy, But Never Too Busy For Sullivan

The company I work for had taken a bunch of us to Hartford, CT to do some work.  The good thing is that downtown Hartford is nice and has a lot of places to chill after work.  The bad, the rest of Hartford looks like a crime scene.  But a kid from Brooklyn ain't sweating it.

Back here in Albany it was petition period time.  Not a lot of interesting stories other than eveyone got enough signatures to get on their ballots, cool!.  Even that creep Scavo, not cool!.  More with him in the future.

Lebron tried to do an OTB republican petition to get anyone to appear on the ballot for the senatorial district currently held by Breslin.  As I suspected, he once again didn't make it and the Albany County GOP successfully, once again, threw another race.

Then I saw that Danz stuck it to Joe Sullivan.  Yes, Joe Sullivan, the machine democrat who has done everything possible for them to win.  The guy is like 90 years old and probably remembers when the democratic machine took over the city of Albany back in the 20s.  He probably voted in that election.

So, I went to his blog and guess what, Lebron stuck it to Sullivan!!!!!  I love it!!!!!!

Sullivan is an old guy Richard Stack uses to kill candidates.  Nothing new here.  Sullivan was a republican chairman, "ran" against Gerry all the while he would pop up at democratic committee meetings to chill with his peeps.  All true.  While Joey was a "republican"  he would attend democratic party meetings to help out.  Any democratic leaders in the 90's can confirm this. 

I remember back in 1993 when he ran for alderman as a democrat and was a huge Joyce and Jennings backer.  I know they ran against each other but while he was publicly backing one, he secretly kissed the butt of the other.  You figure out which is which.

Lebron (who is a notary public) collected signatures on the CON line to help that party elect anyone else but Sullivan.  Ah revenge is a can of Vanilla flavored Ensure best served cold.

But in Sullivan's typical racist ways, conveniently did not name the others who also collected.  Why?  They are white.  Please give me another reason.  I am all ears!!!! (I do have Will Smith ears).

As I undertand OTB (Opportunity To Ballot) is nothing more than a write-in spot.  It does not endorse anyone.  But Sullivan, who doesn't undertand democracy (I know, sounds redundant, I already said he was a machine democrat), thinks this was a conspiracy against him.  It is not.  It is a prospiracy against him!!!

So my boy sticks it again to the machine.  Ballz!!!!!!

Drive-By Harpooning

There was a drive-by shooting on Lark and Sheridan.  So?  Well, I saw the news on Channel 6 and apparently to "community activist" Jaqui Williams, we have a problem with illegal guns.

Without knowing for a fact that it was done with an illegal gun this buffoon and channel 6 had no reservations of taking the news story in that direction. 

See, the problem is not that another drive-by shooting occurred, or that there is still criminal/gang activity in the city...Nahhh.  The problem is that they used a gun, and that is wrong.

"ALBANY -- Just before 5 p.m. Monday shots rang out during a drive by shooting at the corner of Lark and Sheridan Streets.
"Right at rush hour traffic too. It's obviously a concern for us as well as the members of our community" says officer Steve Smith, spokesperson for the Albany Police Department.
Two male victims were taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
An hour and a half later police located the car in question just a few blocks away on Sherman Street.
CBS 6 cameras were rolling as the car was taken away on a flat-bed truck with a police escort.
This latest shooting is yet another reminder for community activist Jacqui Williams that the city of Albany has work to do When it comes to cracking down on illegal guns. Williams says despite their efforts, the market is always there.
"They are readily available to anyone who's got money and I don't think anyone's checking id. If someone's got the cash to pay for a gun they get sold the gun and that's unfortunate" says Williams.
"All the guns being located on the streets of Albany are not by accident. The men and women of this police department are very proactive. They're stopping people, they're monitoring people."
Williams says neighbors are monitoring their own situations everyday.
”Before we go out to help a neighbor we make sure we've got our cell phones just in case the person who is causing the upset has a gun. It is something that I'm aware of."
It's that same awareness that if used correctly may have prevented two men from getting shot Monday."

So, to be more supportive of the community to stop the use of guns, criminals should forget the gun and start using the harpoon.

It is fast, clean, and because it does not produce a combustion to propel the projectile, it is even green!!!  And there is no SNUG program for harpoons, no buy back program, no harpoon serialization legislation.  A good old fashioned Cape Cod harpoon.

So, if you have to bust a cap, don't be wack and use a gun...Use a Harpoon!
